--- How do I get to Green Iguana?
--- You set your own airline reservations, and send us the information so we can arrange your airport pickup. The ride out to the beach begins with our GISC driver, Johnny. He will pick you up from the airport and bring you directly to the camp. If you arrive late and have to stay at a hotel in San Jose for your first night, he will pick you up from your hotel the following day and drive you to the camp.

--- Are there set dates to the surf camp?
--- No, you can arrive whenever you want.

--- What kind of facilities does the town of Dominical have?
--- There are 7 local restaurants, a couple of small supermarkets, a fruit market, a good bakery, and an Internet cafe, all within easy walking distance of The Diuwak Hotel. We also have an excellent beach lifeguard program. Banks and pharmacies can be found in the town of San Isidro, 45 minutes outside of Dominical.

--- What's the weather like in Dominical?
--- Daytime temps are usually around 80 - 85 degrees, and the nights around 70-75 degrees, with a cool nightly wind coming down from the mountains. It's hotter in the dry season (November - April), and cooler in the wet (May - October).

--- What are the waves like in Dominical?
--- Playa Dominical is an excellent, uncrowded beachbreak, and the most consistent surf spot in Costa Rica. An offshore breeze usually blows until around 9 or 10 a.m. There are several other local surf spots, including Playas Dominicalito, Hermosa, Ballena, and Ventanas, as well as a good left-hand reefbreak known as "the Point". These beaches are all very beautiful and tropical, and waves range from easy beginner surf to more hollow and powerful waves.

--- Are the surf instructors qualified?
--- Green Iguana offers the best surf instruction in Costa Rica. All of our instructors are current or formerly certified Red Cross lifeguards, fully bilingual, and of course, lifelong surfers. They are experts in teaching you everything you need to know about surfing, from simply learning to stand up and ride, to advanced surfing and competition tactics. They are 100% fluent in English, and have a lifelong knowledge of Costa Rican waves and conditions.

--- What is the average age of those who attend the program?
--- Most people who stay with us are between 20 and 40 years old, and we've had guests from 6 to 60 years of age.

--- How many people are in the surf classes?
--- Usually between three and eight people, with never more than four students per instructor. Everyone in the class gets close personal attention.

--- Are surf lessons only for beginners?
--- We specialize in instructing first-timers how to surf, but we do teach all levels, from beginner to advanced.

--- Do you teach children?
--- Yes, we accept kids as young as 6 years old. Kids have a lot of fun, and learn quickly - they always leave Mom and Dad in the dust. Anyone 18 years or younger who wants to participate in the camp must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
